Accounts Assistant
Job Description
We're recruiting for a high-growth, PE-backed tech business in Leicester that's doubling its turnover - and they need sharp finance talent to keep pace.
This newly created Accounts Assistant role is your chance to get under the bonnet of a fast-moving finance function where your contribution really matters. You'll support the transactional engine of the business, freeing up senior team members to focus on strategic reporting and analysis - all while building a solid foundation for your career.
Role: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (top end available for the right person)
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Office-based (Leicester)
Why it's a brilliant time to join
The business has recently gone through a private equity divestment, with sharp increases in reporting and transactional activity. With turnover set to double, the finance team is scaling - and this hire is key to keeping the wheels turning smoothly.
You'll join a supportive, down-to-earth team with a clear structure and strong leadership, where attitude matters as much as experience.
What you'll be doing
Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger support
Invoicing and credit card processing
Supplier payments and bank allocations
Credit control and company expenses
Helping the team meet key reporting deadlines
Ad hoc transactional cover when needed
What we're looking for
A finance graduate or early-career finance professional
Or someone with 1-2 years of transactional finance experience
Comfortable doing the basics brilliantly
Calm, methodical, proactive - someone who gets stuck in
A good personality fit is just as important as technical skills
This isn't a role for someone chasing a management title tomorrow - it's for someone who values learning, doing things right, and growing with the business.
What's in it for you
£27,000 - £30,000 salary
Study support (AAT/ACCA)
Structured team with real development potential
Be part of a business that's going places
