Interim Finance Business Partner
Location: Leicester (5 days on site)
Contract: Interim circa 6 months
Rate: £300-350 Umbrella Day rate (inside IR35)
A fast-growing international online business is seeking an Interim Business Partner to support its expanding global operations. This role sits within finance and plays a critical part in ensuring strong governance, control and insight across international cash movements and payment flows. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role, working closely with senior stakeholders and international teams.
The Role
You will be at the centre of international cash operations and controls, covering a broad mix of financial management, team leadership and stakeholder engagement. The role requires someone confident managing complexity, maintaining strong controls and asking the right questions when something doesn't look right
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a qualified and part-qualified team (onshore and offshore), ensuring the function is in strong shape with the right culture and attitude
- Cash & Payment Oversight: Reconciliation of customer receipts and payment costs across multiple international entities
- Third-Party Management: Day-to-day management of payment providers, including settlement timing and contractual compliance
- Controls & Governance: Ownership of cash and debtor controls, ensuring robust audit trails and process discipline
- Forecasting & Reporting: Accurate reporting of payment costs at country and entity level
- VAT Oversight: Maintain control of VAT records, reviewing regularly as new projects and changes arise
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Daily oversight of cash inflows from payment partners
- FX Review: Identification and evaluation of foreign exchange charges
- Audit Liaison: Work closely with external auditors across multiple entity audits
- Stakeholder Engagement: Regular communication and presentation to senior stakeholders, including international and Transfer Pricing teams
What We're Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in international finance, payments, or cash-focused operations
- Strong people manager with the right attitude to maintain a high-performing team
- Excellent communicator, confident presenting to senior stakeholders
- Investigative mindset curious, probing, and comfortable challenging numbers and processes
- Strong control focus with a natural eye for risk and improvement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex, international environment
- Available to start ASAP
