Credit Controller - Permanent - Leicester - Circa £30,000
We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based in Leicester on a permanent basis. This is a hands‑on role focusing on the effective management of accounts receivable and ensuring timely cash collection across a broad customer base.
You will be responsible for managing aged debt, conducting credit assessments, resolving billing disputes and building positive relationships with customers. The successful candidate will be highly organised, articulate in communication and comfortable working in a fast‑paced finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively chase overdue customer accounts to support cash flow targets
Conduct credit checks and manage ongoing credit limits
Investigate and resolve invoice queries
Produce aged debt analysis and support financial reporting
What You'll Bring
Previous credit control experience or similar finance background
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Good IT literacy, particularly with Excel and accounting software
A proactive, results‑driven attitude
