Finance Administrator - Desborough, Northants
£28,000 + study support | Permanent | 50% from home after 3 Month Probation
Macildowie are working exclusively with this well-established client based in Desborough on a newly-refined opportunity for a Finance Administrator to support their Head of Corporate Services and wider Finance Team.
This business operates within a fast-paced, manufacturing-led industry and is seeking someone highly organised with a keen eye for detail. You'll be joining a finance team that values autonomy, accuracy and a calm, collaborative culture - offering the chance to grow technically within an established team environment.

The Role:
As a Finance Administrator, you'll support the delivery of key compliance and financial activities, with exposure across:
- Daily cash balances and intercompany schedules
- VAT, corporation tax and Plastic Packaging Tax reporting
- Insurance, payroll and healthcare administration
- Managing credit cards, lease software and company car registers
- Supporting audits, budgets and exchange rate forecasting
- Providing ad hoc admin and finance project support
Who We're Looking For:
We're open to applications from early-career finance professionals - whether you're a graduate with 6-12 months' relevant experience or already progressing with your AAT/CIMA/ACCA. You'll need:
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills (Word, SharePoint etc.)
- Strong organisational, communication and time management capabilities
- Confidence with numbers, financial schedules and reconciliations
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and integrity in your work
- Understanding of prepayments, accruals, VAT and P&L reporting
