Job Description

Credit Risk Financial Analyst

Location: Staffordshire (Hybrid working)
Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours)

We are a UK-based, FCA-regulated B2B asset finance provider seeking a Credit Risk Financial Analyst to support our Credit and Sales teams through high-quality financial analysis and credit assessments. The role reports to the Head of Credit Risk and focuses on large client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and review financial information for new and existing client accounts

  • Conduct financial analysis and support applications for finance facilities

  • Provide credit assessment feedback to internal stakeholders

  • Liaise with external credit risk teams

  • Support process improvements within the Credit function

  • Develop data sets and benchmarks to enhance credit decision-making

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in credit risk or financial analysis

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment

  • Good Excel skills and strong numerical ability

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify early signs of credit deterioration

Qualifications

Formal qualifications are not essential; relevant experience is key. Qualifications in finance, banking, business, or accounting are desirable.
