Job Title: HR Officer (Maternity Cover - 11 Months)
Location: Corby (Office-based only)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM. Will consider reduced hours
Salary: Open dependent on experience
Overview:
Our client, a busy and hands-on logistics business based in Corby, is looking to recruit a HR Officer to cover an 11-month maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid HR experience who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the HR functionfrom day-to-day admin to supporting management and employee engagement initiatives.
The Role:
The successful candidate will oversee a wide range of HR responsibilities, ensuring the smooth running of the HR function. You'll act as the go-to for HR queries while also supporting managers with tasks such as onboarding, probation reviews, and recruitment.
Key duties include:
General HR Administration:
Handling all aspects of HR admin and supporting documentation
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Posting job adverts
CV screening
Interview coordination and support
Preparing onboarding paperwork and managing the process
Employee Lifecycle:
Tracking and following up on probationary reviews
Supporting return-to-work processes and documentation
Coordinating leaver procedures, including farewell cards and vouchers
Employee Engagement & Recognition:
Coordinating long service awards and other recognition initiatives
Organisational Support:
Ensuring Company Organisation Charts are accurate and up to date
What We're Looking For:
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with staff at all levels
Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
A positive, hands-on attitude with a proactive approach
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is advantageous, but not essential
Additional Info:
Full handover will be provided
This is an office-based role only remote/hybrid working is not available
