Internal Communications Lead (6-Month FTC - c.£45,000p.a)

Location: Hybrid - East of England (1-2 days on site per week)
Contract: Interim, 6-month FTC (with potential extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible between 8am-6pm)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Internal Communications Lead to join my clients HR team on a fixed-term basis, supporting an exciting technology transformation project alongside day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) communications.

You'll play a key role in engaging colleagues across the business, ensuring consistent, timely, and inspiring communication as we go through a major phase of change. Working closely with the Internal Communications Partner, you'll help translate complex project updates into clear, accessible messages that reflect our culture, values, and tone of voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of communication plans related to a major technology transformation project.
  • Create engaging content for internal channels including newsletters, intranet, social platforms, and digital screens.
  • Manage and maintain internal communication platforms, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and visually appealing.
  • Support internal events, engagement campaigns, and employee communications linked to transformation milestones.
  • Collate and analyse employee feedback to support continuous improvement of communication effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the HR and Transformation teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with business objectives.
  • Champion internal communication best practice across teams, ensuring communications reflect our values and tone of voice.

About You

  • Experience working in an internal communications role, ideally within a large or multi-site organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for tone, clarity, and visual presentation.
  • Experience managing digital communication platforms or content creation tools.
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, change-focused environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.
  • Previous exposure to transformation, change, or technology implementation projects would be beneficial.
