Working Model: Hybrid, 2 days on site (with flexibility dependant on business needs)
Contract type: Interim (with potential to go permanent)
Rate: Flexible
Duration: 6 months
Times: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00
Hours: 37 hours
Interview Process: 1 stage interview, immediate start preferred
Purpose of Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Recruitment Manager to join a Higher Education provider in Leicestershire. Reporting to the Head of Talent, this role focuses on leading recruitment efforts, managing a small team of recruitment professionals, and overseeing the implementation of a new recruitment and onboarding system. The successful candidate will help drive recruitment strategy, manage complex recruitment processes and design and implement selection policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of 4 recruitment professionals.
- Lead the implementation of a new recruitment system guiding hiring managers through its implantation and resolving any issues.
- Manage recruitment for specialist and senior-level roles, including difficult-to-fill positions.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with organisational needs.
- Support the development and maintenance of recruitment and selection policies to ensure legal compliance.
- Oversee full cycle recruitment processes, from advertising roles to interviewing and onboarding.
- Produce and analyse recruitment data, providing insights and trends to optimise hiring processes.
Required Experience:
- Strong experience in recruitment and sales.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a recruitment team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment systems and software ).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of recruitment compliance and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience in workforce planning and succession planning.
- Background in higher education recruitment or public sector hiring.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship levy and other government schemes
