Job Description

Macildowie are working with this client based in Solihull to recruit an HR Assistant on a temporary basis for around three months initially, offering hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in the office and two from home.

This organisation operates within a manufacturing-led environment and is seeking an experienced and reliable HR professional to support UK and Group HR functions during a busy period.

Pay Rate: £15 - £18 per hour plus holiday pay
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Arrangement: Hybrid - minimum three days per week onsite (Solihull)

The Role:
Reporting into the HR Business Partner, this role will provide hands-on HR administrative and coordination support across payroll preparation, recruitment administration, onboarding and HR data management. The position plays a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, strong HR governance and consistent HR processes across the UK business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and collate monthly UK payroll data, ensuring accuracy and timely submission

  • Process changes for starters, leavers, pay adjustments, bonuses and absences

  • Support recruitment administration including advert posting, interview scheduling and candidate communication

  • Coordinate onboarding activities and pre-employment checks

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data

  • Support headcount reporting and HR management information

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Business Partner

About You:
You will have prior experience in HR administration or coordination, ideally with exposure to payroll preparation. You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with Excel and HR systems. A professional and discreet approach is essential.
