Business Support Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: Ilkeston
Salary: £35,000
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract
About the Role
I am seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Manager to join a well-established, family-run accountancy firm based in Ilkeston. This is a maternity cover position, offering a great opportunity to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the business while working within a supportive and close-knit team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the firm
- Managing and supporting the administrative team
- Implementing and maintaining efficient office processes and procedures
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal staff and external clients
- Assisting with HR-related tasks, including onboarding and staff coordination
- Managing office resources, suppliers, and facilities
- Supporting partners with business operations and project work
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in an office or business support management role
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with accountancy systems is desirable)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
