Macildowie are working with this client based in Hinckley to recruit a Customer Service Specialist for a well-established manufacturer within the specialist healthcare products sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll play a key role in supporting customers, processing orders and providing administrative support across the business.

The Role

As Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for delivering a first-class service to customers, internal stakeholders and field-based teams. You'll manage customer enquiries, process orders accurately and proactively communicate with customers to ensure expectations are exceeded.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing incoming telephone and email enquiries
  • Processing customer orders accurately using Sage
  • Liaising with the warehouse to ensure timely dispatch of orders
  • Providing customers with delivery updates and order information
  • Resolving customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Supporting the external sales team with customer follow-up
  • Maintaining customer records and databases
  • Raising credit notes and processing returns
  • Producing reports and spreadsheets
  • Supporting the wider office with administrative duties where required

About You

You'll have previous experience within a busy customer service or sales support environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting.

You'll also have:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A professional and confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Sage experience would be advantageous
  • A proactive and positive approach to customer service
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
