Conveyancing Legal Secretary - Rugeley | £24,000–£28,000
We are working with a reputable law firm based in Rugeley who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join their growing team.
Working closely with a Conveyancer, you will provide support across a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages and more.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a Conveyancing Assistant or similar legal support role
- Experience using case management systems
- A good understanding of the full residential conveyancing process
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Key Responsibilities
As a Conveyancing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls and responding to email enquiries
- Taking initial client enquiries
- Preparing quotations for clients
- Dealing with client questions and queries
- Managing client expectations and providing regular updates
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Maintaining databases and updating case management systems
- Liaising with estate agents, lenders and other relevant third parties
- Using the Land Registry Portal to upload documents and submit applications
- Carrying out property searches
- Attending team meetings as required
- Providing general administrative support, including printing, photocopying and scanning
Salary & Working Hours
Salary: £24,000–£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
