Social Housing Contracts Manager
Job Description
We're working with a leading housing provider to recruit a talented Contracts Manager to join their Asset Management team. This pivotal role will see you delivering the organisation's annual investment programme across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and meet the Decent Homes Standard.
What you'll be doing:
Managing delivery of planned investment works on time, within budget, and to high customer satisfaction.
Overseeing contractor procurement and contract management, ensuring value for money.
Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 and ensuring health & safety compliance.
Maintaining accurate asset management data, including asbestos registers.
Leading a small team and monitoring performance to meet service targets.
Managing budgets and reporting on spend, forecasts, and service improvements.
What we're looking for:
A strong background in construction, building maintenance, or asset management.
Solid knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, CDM and asbestos regulations.
Proven experience managing contractors, consultants, and budgets.
Relevant qualifications (degree/HND in Construction/Building).
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
Social housing or public sector experience is desirable.
Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
