Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester to recruit a Sales Trainer for a well-established, market-leading business within the manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a passion for learning and development to play a pivotal role in enhancing sales capability across the business.
The Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing structured training programmes to support both new and existing team members in reaching sales excellence. With a blend of training delivery, coaching, and collaboration with leadership, this is a highly visible role focused on driving performance and consistency across the sales function.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective training for new starters and existing sales staff
Design structured learning materials and training tools aligned with business goals
Monitor progress, assess development, and provide constructive feedback
Coach sales managers to drive consistency and embed best practices
Identify skills gaps and create targeted learning solutions
Work closely with L&D and senior leaders to align training with company strategy
Maintain up-to-date training content to reflect business and market changes
Introduce modern sales techniques and support account management development
Ensure full adherence to internal policies and procedures including QHSE
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Proven track record in sales (both new business and account management)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Desirable:
Experience delivering training in a commercial environment
Familiarity with CRM systems and learning management platforms
A recognised training qualification (e.g. AET, CET)
