About the Role:

You’ll own a desk, managing the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle while developing a strong presence in your chosen market. This role is all about building long-term relationships with candidates and clients, not just transactional placements. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your desk, with the support, tools and coaching to grow your billings and your personal brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source, headhunt and engage high-calibre candidates using a range of channels, networks and creative approaches.
  • Manage the full recruitment process from initial brief through to offer management and post-placement follow-up.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on hiring needs, market conditions and recruitment strategy.
  • Conduct structured interviews and assessments to accurately match candidates to roles and culture.
  • Drive sales and business development activity to grow your portfolio, including warm account development and targeted new business.
  • Use the ATS and CRM effectively to manage pipelines, track activity and maintain accurate, insightful data.
  • Carry out market and sector research to identify trends, opportunities and target organisations.
  • Prioritise and manage a busy workload, balancing candidate delivery, client management and business development.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a 360 recruitment role or a strong track record in a similar sales/consultative environment.
  • Demonstrable success in candidate sourcing and headhunting, not just relying on adverts and inbound applications.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and add value.
  • Solid experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including interviewing, shortlisting and offer negotiation.
  • Confident in negotiation and offer management, with a commercial mindset and focus on closing.
  • Comfortable driving sales and business development activity to build and grow a desk.
  • Proficient in using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related recruitment tools.
  • Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and hungry to develop, with the drive to take ownership of your own success.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience building a desk or niche market from scratch or from a warm base.
  • Established network within a specific professional discipline or sector.
  • Track record of building a personal brand through networking, events, or online content.
  • Experience working in a consultative, value-led recruitment environment rather than a purely transactional one.
  • Comfortable constructively challenging clients and candidates to achieve the best long-term outcome.
