    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    Macildowie are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to work for a quirky business based in Leicester City centre. As a client facing Account Manager you will be accountable for planning and managing small sized projects directly with the client, whilst assisting Account Managers on larger projects.

    This is a full time temporary to permanent post

    THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Preparing, managing and owning all project timelines

    Costing and management of project budgets
    Project resource management internally and externally
    Identifying risks to CPA, Budgets and Quality
    Being responsible for all aspects of a project from prototype to production
    Owning all  project documentation
    Negotiating with internal factory, suppliers, and sub-contractors
    Ensuring highest quality standards in communication, information and production
    Managing all day-to-day operational aspects of projects
    Set the standards and methodology to be used in a project
    Ensuring that all relevant processes are followed on projects
    Proposing process or production improvements
    Communicating accurately with BU team members, clients and factories
    Managing complex bills of material and communication of these to multiple stakeholders to ensure project success

    EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

    Strong administration skills
    Very detail driven
    Enthusiasm! The solutions will not always present themselves, successful candidate will have to demonstrate a problem-solving mentality
    Ability to coordinate with other departments to work towards a shared goal
    Comfortable working in Excel
    Comfortable managing suppliers

    Due to the continuing success of my clients' specialist medical department, coupled with their focus on increasing market share in this sector, I am looking for an AAT or equivalent qualified individual to join the team. You would be working with a thriving, customer-focused team who are fast becoming the number one choice for the medical sector in Leicestershire. Acting for a large number of medical practices in the area (as well as individual GP's, GP Practices and GP Federations), they offer expert advice on accounts, personal tax and pensions, together with bespoke bookkeeping, cost control, VAT and management accounts services.

    The ideal candidate should be able to work on assignments independently whilst being part of a larger team and support trainees with their work.

    Regular responsibilities of this role may include (but are not limited to):

    • Act as second contact to a portfolio of GP clients, ensuring assignments are effectively managed and work is completed in a timely manner
    • Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for sole traders and partnerships
    • Participate in client meetings as requested and manage client expectations by ensuring they are always kept up to date and understand all of the work produced
    • Deliver an excellent level of customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely manner
    • Maintain up to date technical knowledge and attend all relevant training, conferences and seminars
    • Keep Medical Sector Manager fully informed of status of all work, any challenges or delays encountered and suggestions for resolution of the same
    • Manage all work efficiently, profitably and in accordance with the Company's procedures
    • Participate and contribute to the development of the team in order to assist meet its objectives in line with the overall Company strategy
    • Actively assist in marketing the specialist services provided by the team

    Required skills

    • AAT qualified or equivalent
    • Experience of working in practice
    • Have a good understanding of personal and partnership tax
    • Be computer literate (particularly Microsoft Office), and be able to adapt to using new software quickly and easily (Sage, IRIS, Xero etc.)
    • Have excellent attention to detail and thrive on exceeding client expectations
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, together with the confidence to network and help to develop the business

    What does the ideal candidate look like?

    • Have a minimum of three years practice experience
    • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or AAT) or qualified by experience
    • Have management accounts experience
    • Good working knowledge of Xero & Sage
    • Confidence working with accounts preparation & tax software such as Iris
    • Audit experience an advantage but not a requirement
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft windows, word & excel.
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Be highly motivated & commercially focused High level of attention to detail.
    • Skilled at dealing with people and have the ability to support and develop work colleagues.
    • Organised and deadline driven.

    The Role Details:

    • Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00 (plus a 30 minute lunch)

    Key Responsibilities:

    As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing critical financial functions including:

    • Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
    • Handling the sales ledger, including issuing invoices and recording payments received.
    • Conducting credit control activities to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining healthy vendor relationships.
    • Providing prompt and accurate responses to supplier and customer queries, facilitating seamless transactions.
    • Coordinating weekly payment runs to ensure vendors are paid in accordance with company policies.
    • Additional administrative and finance duties as and where required.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or a related industry.

    Macildowie Finance are currently working on an exclusive basis to support a highly successful and well managed family owned business in Leicester, to recruit an Accounts Manager. This well rounded and highly exposed role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to grow and develop with the organisation.
    This role will be responsible for the end to end accounting for the business with support from an external accounting firm Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Management Accounts Prep and Payroll.
    To achieve success in this role you will need to have a keen eye for detail and have previous experience of operating in a well-rounded accounting role within a privately owned SME business.
    Responsibilities will include:
    Processing of Sales and Purchase Ledger invoices within Sage. Managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
    Credit control.
    Production of the management accounts up to trial balance, for completion by the external Accountants.
    Payroll administration ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner for final completion by the external accountants. Payroll will include weekly, monthly and bonus calculations.
    VAT/PAYE Calculations.
    Bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
    Daily sales reporting for distribution to the Director.
    To be considered for this role you must be/have:
    A keen eye for detail and experience of operating in a rounded SME Accountant's role.
    Previous experience of a Sage accounting package would be advantageous.
    Strong communication skills ability to work across all levels/departments within this business.
