Job Role - Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location - Pinxton (relocating to Bolsover within 6 months)
Salary - £26,000
Type - Permanent, full-time, hybrid

Macildowie are working with a large and growing business based in Pinxton (with a relocation planned to Bolsover in the next 6 months), who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.

This position has become available due to recent acquisitions and the ongoing expansion of the business. Reporting into the Purchase Ledger Manager, you'll be a key part of a busy and supportive accounts team, helping to maintain accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking invoices and obtaining required authorisations
  • Raising and resolving invoice queries
  • Coding and inputting invoices onto the system
  • Filing and scanning documents into electronic folders
  • Maintaining and updating various internal spreadsheets
  • Raising weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Posting and allocating manual cash payments
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with the Cary UK ledger and managing the purchase ledger inbox
  • Supporting with other finance admin tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines, especially around month-end
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach

This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate start available. The role will be based in the office 4 days per week initially, moving to a more flexible hybrid pattern longer term (3 days in office).

You must also be willing to commute to the new site near Junction 29A of the M1 once the relocation is complete.
