Job Description
Macildowie are working exclusively with our client in Leicester (Meridian Business Park) to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant.
Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant | £25,000 - £30,000 DOE | Office‑based, 40 hrs per week
Location: LE19, Meridian Business Park, Leicester
Employment type: Permanent, full time
Working hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm (30 min lunch)

You'll join an open-plan, collaborative finance team, where your day-to-day contributions and ideas will directly impact process improvements as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices daily and escalate or resolve queries with internal stakeholders
- Maintain and manage the purchase ledger inbox; respond promptly to supplier communications
- Reconcile supplier statements across multiple entities
- Handle supplier telephone calls confidently and professionally
- Partner with the Finance Manager and broader finance team to refine purchase ledger procedures
- Contribute to process improvements and scaling initiatives as the business grows
What we need from you
- Minimum 3+ years' proven purchase ledger / accounts assistant experience
- A confident, proactive approach; able to work independently and make decisions
- Comfortable working across multiple entities simultaneously
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management
