We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Team Leader - a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll oversee payments of over £1bn annually and drive success in a fast-paced finance function.
Salary: Up to £40,000
Employment type: Permanent
Working arrangement: Fully office based
This role offers you the chance to make a real impact by leading a small but high-performing finance team. You'll be at the heart of ensuring supplier payments are delivered with accuracy and efficiency, while supporting continuous improvements across the function.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and motivate a finance team, driving a culture of service and accountability.
Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices and supplier payments.
Monitor KPIs and manage aged creditors to meet business deadlines.
Act as a trusted point of contact for finance stakeholders across the business.
Support process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
What we're looking for:
Proven leadership and people management experience within finance operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or similar).
Positive energy and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to influence, challenge, and problem solve effectively.
Formal qualifications and direct AP experience are not essential - what matters most is leadership, drive, and a collaborative mindset.
