Finance Operations Coordinator | 3 Months Temp | Up to £15ph | Enderby

Macildowie are working with this client based in Enderby, Leicester
We are seeking a Finance Operations Coordinator (Temporary, 3 months) to join the Finance Operations department on a full-time basis

You will report directly to the Finance Operations Team Leader and support multiple operational finance functions across the business. The role involves internal customer support (responding to queries via various channels), operational tasks around store stock movements, banking & cash-holding processes, seasonal event coordination (e.g., stocktake, new store openings, sales events), ad-hoc data/MI reporting, and general finance operations team cover.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling internal queries and quickly resolving or escalating as required.
  • Providing operational support for retail store stock movement and process controls.
  • Coordinating seasonal events (stocktakes, end-of-season recalls, store openings, sale events).
  • Managing cash movement and banking operations across the retail business, working with 3rd parties and internal teams.
  • Producing and maintaining data/MI reporting, processing ad-hoc information requests from stakeholders.
  • Planning your own daily workload to maximise efficiency and providing cover for other team members during holiday/sickness/peak times.

Skills & experience required:
Essential:

  • Advanced Excel (or equivalent technology such as Google Sheets) proficiency.
  • Ability to work to tight and strict deadlines.
  • Confident communicator at all levels (internal & external).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised and flexible with strong ability to multitask.
  • Enjoys problem-solving and can clearly explain resolution steps.
  • Works well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Uses own initiative while contributing to a team.
  • Willingness to actively develop and learn new skills.

Desirable:

  • Basic SQL knowledge (training provided).
  • Previous experience working within an Operational Finance team environment.
