Job Description
I am delighted to present a unique and diverse FINANCE MANAGER & PROJECTS role on behalf of a high growth, highly acquisitive SME with a great reputation based between Nottingham and Derby on a 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT, with a view to transitioning TEMP to PERM either during or at the end of that period.
This role reports directly to the CFO and and has a genuine opportunity for progression. The annual salary is £40 - 50K + BONUS subject to experience, plus hols, pension and benefits suite. The role is HYBRID in nature but will initially need 3-4 days on site. The start date is ASAP but they could wait up to a 4 week notice period.
Overview of the role:
Day to Day
- To assist with month end close as required
- Produce and review balance sheet reconciliation
- Analyse and ensure that the P&L is a true reflection of the results
- Train and mentor more junior members of the team
- Produce clean reporting automated from system reports
- Support on audit
Development / Project Work
- Build sales models for budgeting and forecasting
- Build and roll out P&L models for budgeting and forecasting
- Build and roll out balance sheet models (using existing)
Underlying principle is to use the existing models and simplify them, create controls and ensure that the links between models are robust and clean. Allow multi user access and ensure that they are robust, credible and work inter-operably.
Ensure ease of build from monthly TB on the actuals side
Ensure we build in all the metrics required for reporting
Be able to overlay accounting changes
Adhoc
- Engage with the business on adhoc queries and investigations
- Provide insight to drive profitability
- Work on data projects
- Support the overall team at high pressure times
