Temporary Finance Office Assistant
Syston | Office Based | 2-Month Temp | £13.50 per hour | 37.5 hrs per week

We are working with a well-established and purpose-driven organisation that delivers specialist support services across the UK. Their finance team plays a vital role in ensuring operational success, and they are seeking a Finance Office Assistant to provide key administrative and communication support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain finance exposure in a structured, supportive environment - ideal for a finance graduate or experienced administrator looking to step into finance.

The Role

As the central point of contact for the finance team, you will:

  • Manage the shared finance inbox, triaging queries to the correct team
  • Answer and redirect incoming finance calls to the relevant contact (AP, AR, etc.)
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, documentation and meeting support
  • Handle financial correspondence and documentation with confidentiality
  • Support with ad-hoc finance tasks and internal projects
  • Build strong internal relationships across multiple finance functions

Please note: This role does not initially include transactional processing but will involve working alongside and supporting the finance team, with daily exposure to financial information and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong admin or office experience (finance degree or qualification beneficial but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and confident phone manner
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to handle sensitive information professionally
  • Proactive and keen to build a career within finance
