Management Accountant
Location: Alfreton
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Depending on Experience
Employment: Full-time, 5 days on-site (with flexibility)
About the Role
A leading organisation in the automotive services sector is seeking a driven and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their established finance team in Alfreton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional - though PQ finalists will also be considered - looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial insight, supporting operational decision-making, and contributing to long-term strategic planning. For the right person, there is a clear path to progress into a Finance Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and commentary
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles
- Knowledge of stock management, pricing and costing
- Business partnering with operational teams to drive performance
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Providing insight on financial trends, risks, and opportunities
- Supporting continuous improvement across financial processes and controls
About You
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - PQ finalists also welcome
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- Confident communicator with the ability to partner across the business
- Proactive, commercially focused mindset
- Comfortable working on-site within a collaborative team environment
