Assistant Management Accountant
Nottingham (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)

I am partnering with a leading UK provider of community-based social care services. This organisation delivers high-quality homecare, complex care, supported living and specialist support that enables people to live independently in their own homes. With a nationwide network of local teams, the organisation is committed to making a real difference in communities-and the finance function plays a vital role in supporting that mission.

I am now supporting them in recruiting an ambitious and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their Nottingham finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build and progress their accounting career within a supportive and growing environment.

About the Role

You will assist in producing accurate financial information, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide valuable analysis to help operational teams make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Conducting variance analysis and preparing financial commentary
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end activities
  • Providing financial insight and support to operational managers
  • Supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives

About You

  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities
  • Proficient in Excel with good data-handling skills
  • Confident communicator able to engage with stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive and deadline-focused
  • Previous finance experience is helpful but not essential
