HR Coordinator
Location: North Leicestershire (hybrid working & flexible hours)
Salary: Competitive - DOE
Employment Type: Initially temporary until Christmas with a view to leading to permanent

Macildowie are working exclusively with a North Leicestershire-based client who are looking to appoint a proactive and organised HR Coordinator.

The business currently outsources its HR function but, due to growth, is keen to bring on additional internal, hands-on HR support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across the HR function, supporting approximately 200 employees across multiple UK sites. You'll be the first point of contact for HR queries, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, provide key support to the leadership team, and help streamline HR processes - developing valuable experience in employee relations, compliance, and training initiatives.

The Role:

  • Coordinate the full recruitment process, including job adverts, interviews, and onboarding
  • Draft and maintain HR documentation such as contracts, offer letters, and personnel files
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries
  • Prepare monthly and biweekly wages payments. (processed by an external payroll company, but the prep is all done in house)
  • Support absence management, performance processes, and employee relations
  • Assist with updating policies to ensure compliance with employment law
  • Maintain HR systems, help streamline processes, and provide reporting for managers and senior leadership
  • Travel to other UK sites as required (mileage provided)

About You:

  • Previous HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to build trust at all levels
  • Proficient with MS Office and HR systems
  • Full UK driving licence
