We are supporting a well-known organisation within the wider retail and consumer brand industry to recruit an Employee Relations Manager on a permanent, full-time basis, working 5 days a week on-site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing Employee Relations team within a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You will drive the effective management of complex employee relations matters ensuring all cases are handled in a commercially sound and legally compliant way.

Role Overview
As the Employee Relations Manager, you will oversee a team of Employee Relations Advisors, directing the workflow, coaching for performance, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality case management. You will work closely with People Business Partners and wider People Operations teams to provide expert guidance on employment law, policy, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and develop a team of Employee Relations Advisors
  • Oversee the management of ER cases including absence, grievances, disciplinaries, investigations and appeals
  • Provide clear, confident, and commercially aligned advice to stakeholders
  • Ensure HR policies remain compliant with UK employment law
  • Drive consistency through templates, tools and best-practice frameworks
  • Allocate and monitor casework, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Use reporting and insights from the case management system to identify trends
  • Collaborate with People Operations teams to deliver continuous improvement

About You

  • Strong experience managing complex ER cases within a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law
  • CIPD Level 5 (or above) preferred
  • Exceptional communication, judgment, professionalism and resilience
