Macildowie are working with this client based in Birmingham to recruit a Head of Digital Marketing. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing professional services organisation that is investing heavily in its brand, digital presence and long-term growth strategy.

This is far more than a traditional digital marketing role. You'll take ownership of the entire digital ecosystem, developing strategy, leading campaigns and creating an inbound engine that positions the business as the market leader within its specialist sector.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll have genuine autonomy to shape how the organisation is seen by clients, candidates and the wider market.

The Role

You'll be responsible for leading every aspect of the digital marketing function, including:

  • Developing and delivering the overall digital marketing strategy
  • Owning website performance, SEO and user experience
  • Creating inbound marketing campaigns that generate high-quality leads
  • Building content strategies across multiple digital channels
  • Managing email marketing, paid campaigns and social media activity
  • Using analytics and insight to continually optimise performance
  • Working alongside subject matter experts to produce engaging thought leadership content
  • Supporting employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
  • Managing marketing technology, CRM platforms and external agency relationships

About You

You'll be an experienced digital marketing professional with a passion for building brands through content and data-driven marketing.

You'll ideally have:

  • 8+ years' digital marketing experience
  • Proven experience developing and owning digital marketing strategy
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, content marketing, email marketing and paid digital campaigns
  • Experience within professional services, consultancy, financial services, legal or another knowledge-led environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • CIM qualification (MCIM or equivalent) would be advantageous
  • A hands-on approach alongside strong strategic capability
