About the Role

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Support Coordinator to join a busy team based in Burton-on-Trent.

This is a varied role that sits at the heart of the customer journey, working closely with customers, sales representatives, engineers and internal teams to ensure orders progress smoothly from initial sale through to delivery and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer journey from order through to delivery and installation.
  • Process and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with sales representatives regarding customer requirements and order details.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other internal teams where installations are required.
  • Arrange and confirm suitable delivery and installation dates with customers.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the process and provide clear, honest updates.
  • Identify potential issues with orders, deliveries or installations and resolve them proactively.
  • Ensure customer requirements and expectations are accurately communicated internally.
  • Respond to customer queries and escalate sales enquiries to the appropriate sales representative.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems throughout the order process.
  • Prioritise workload effectively in a busy environment where multiple orders may be progressing simultaneously.
  • Support the wider team with general sales administration and order-processing activities.

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident dealing with customers and enjoys taking ownership of a customer's experience from start to finish.

You will ideally have experience in customer service, sales administration, order processing, sales support, coordination or a similar environment.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident liaising with customers, sales teams and engineers.
  • Proactive and able to identify potential problems before they become issues.
  • Honest and transparent when communicating with customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new processes and systems.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other computer-based systems.
  • Experienced with an order-processing, CRM, ERP or similar business system.

Experience with specific systems such as D365, Smartsheet or ESAM is not essential, as full training will be provided. Experience using comparable sales-ordering, customer management or business systems would be advantageous.

  • £30,000–£33,000 salary, dependent on experience.
  • Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
  • Full training and support provided.
  • Hybrid working available following an initial office-based training period.
  • Typically 3 days per week in the office once established in the role.
  • On-site parking.
  • Opportunity to develop experience within a technology-focused, office-based environment.
  • A varied role with genuine ownership of the customer journey.
