Chartered Estates Surveyor (Client Side Role – Public Sector)

- £45k - £48k (Depending on Experience)

Macildowie Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of the East Midlands leading public sector organisations to recruit a chartered estates surveyor to work across a varied property portfolio to support the effective management and optimisation of property assets.
Key Responsibilities
As an Estates Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of estate management activities, including:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of land and property assets.
- Undertaking valuations in accordance with professional standards.
- Negotiating leases, licences, tenancies and other property agreements.
- Supporting acquisitions and disposals of land and property.
- Preparing and serving statutory notices where required.
- Instructing and liaising with solicitors throughout property transactions.
- Attending property viewings and negotiations with prospective purchasers and tenants.
- Working closely with building surveyors, engineers and other property professionals.
- Negotiating dilapidation claims and settlements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.
About You
- A degree in a property-related discipline (or equivalent qualification and experience).
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Proven experience in estates management and property valuation.
- Experience negotiating and completing acquisitions and disposals of land and property.
- Experience negotiating leases, licences and dilapidation settlements.
- A sound understanding of RICS Valuation Standards and relevant legislation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
