Macildowie Recruitment are working exclusively with a well-established company seeking a Branch Manager to oversee their branch operations, managing both commercial and logistics functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with experience in operational management, who can drive business growth, foster team development, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Role Overview:
The Branch Manager will take responsibility for the branch's daily operations, ensuring that both commercial and logistical activities are aligned to support operational efficiency and high-quality service. The role operates similarly to a General Manager position, requiring autonomy in decision-making while maintaining collaboration with Head Office and other branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including sales, warehousing, logistics, and customer service.
- Lead and manage teams, ensuring high performance and effective collaboration.
- Drive business development and support account management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Head Office functions (Purchasing, HR, Finance, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure retention and growth.
- Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and implement plans to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage stock integrity and coordinate logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
- Lead staff development through coaching, appraisals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high service levels and support customer service excellence.
Key Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in a similar operational and commercial role.
- Strong understanding of branch operations, including warehousing and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills.
- Ability to lead and develop teams to achieve business objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems (ERP/CRM).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within distribution, manufacturing, or B2B sales.
- Knowledge of the plastics or industrial materials sector.
- Leadership qualifications or formal management training.
- Experience in multi-site operational initiatives.
