We are recruiting for a Payments & Accounts Payable Specialist within a well-established, fast-paced fashion and branded products business. This is a permanent, fully office-based role offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys managing complex payment processes, working across departments, and maintaining strong financial controls.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of the full payments cycle, including vendor, licensor, subcontractor and employee payments, alongside foreign currency deals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations. You'll work hands-on in MS Dynamics Business Central, while supporting leadership with cash flow forecasting and financial status reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payment processes across the banking platform and ERP (MS Dynamics Business Central)
* Process vendor, subcontractor, and intercompany payments, as well as employee reimbursements
* Handle foreign currency deals and daily money market deposits
* Draw down daily from invoice finance partner and oversee related ledger activities
* Monitor cash flow and produce payment forecasts to ensure appropriate funds are available
* Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers accurately
* Ensure all vendor and bank detail changes are verified to company standards
* Work closely with Sales and Merch teams to ensure invoice approval ahead of payments
* Develop payment policies and controls for efficiency and accuracy
* Resolve internal and external queries and discrepancies in a professional manner
* Prepare and deliver regular payment and cash reports to senior management
* Maintain accurate records and audit trails in compliance with internal policy
About You
You'll be an experienced finance professional with a strong track record in accounts payable, payments processing and cash management. You will have worked with an ERP system (preferably MS Dynamics Business Central) and understand the pace and accuracy required in a commercial environment.

Is detail-driven and organised with experience of high-volume payment processing
Has strong system skills, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Understands foreign currency dealings and intercompany transactions
Can confidently collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
Has a process-improvement mindset with strong controls awareness
Works proactively, thrives in fast-paced settings, and communicates effectively
