    Accounts Payable:

    • Process Purchase ledger invoices and credit notes, matching them to GRNI, and follow up on missing invoices.
    • Ensure accurate invoice coding.
    • Reconcile Aged Creditors monthly.
    • Manage Vendor card information for accuracy.
    • Update bank details for Vendors.
    • Handle Vendor communications, resolve discrepancies, and manage disputes promptly.
    • Monitor invoice aging and due dates.

    Sales Ledger:

    • Generate customer invoices.
    • Verify invoice accuracy against orders.
    • Maintain accurate Customer Master Data.
    • Reconcile Aged Debtors monthly.
    • Manage Customer card information.
    • Conduct credit control activities, chasing overdue invoices.

    Experience:

    • Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
    • Collaborative team player.
    • Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups.

    We are pleased to be recruiting for an Operations Team Leader for our client who provides specialist services to a number of clients and is looking to support their team for the next period of growth.

    The role, based in Kettering, will be supporting specialist customers across their Supply Chain activities, so someone looking for a varied role with a background to match would be ideal. You would have a team of co-ordinators and analysts under your watchful eye, so experience managing a small team is highly desirable.

    Team performance under a number of key metrics would be your responsibility, and motivating the team and monitoring progress will also be key facets of your role.

    The role is covering for maternity leave and expected to run between 12-15 months, but there is potential for the role to become permanent after a strong performance!

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for leading, engaging and managing a small team of Supply Chain Co-ordinators and Analysts
    • Proactively support the team's learning and development both technically and commercially
    • Manage the performance of the team members through setting objectives, monitoring, and reviewing progress and completion of monthly one to one staff assessment.
    • Identify areas for new training/upskilling
    • Assisting management with hiring processes and new team member training
    • Assisting the management with identifying succession planning within the Team
    • To Support the Head of Department and to perform management duties when the HOD is absent or out of the office as and when required.
    • Conducts Team Meetings to update employees on best practices and continuing expectations
    • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to ensure personal and departmental deadlines are adhered to
    • Review performance against the key metrics and ensure regular communication with your team to facilitate feedback and manage expectations.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Experience in a team leader or similar managerial position
    • Strong Excel and IT skills from an operations background
    • Excellent motivation and communication skills
    • Organised
    • Efficient
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ideally experience using accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Xero or Sage

    Main Purpose of Role: As an Interim Project Accountant, your primary focus will be working closely with the Finance Manager and Assistant Management Accountant to drive various projects forward.     Key Requirements for Role:

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with ERP Systems, preferably Business Central and Power BI
    • Meticulous attention to detail, being high organised and methodical
    • A collaborative team player

    Preferred Experience:

    • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accreditation
    • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders
    • Flexibility to meet deadlines and work independently

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To ensure good internal control with respect to the Purchase Ledger function.
    • Match all supplier invoices to purchase orders and enter credit notes onto the system.
    • Update supplier details and open accounts.
    • Post cash book entries to Purchase Ledger, allocating direct debits.
    • Deal with all internal and external queries relating to purchase invoices and supplier payments
    • Maintain adequate records of pro-forma invoices issued and chase up associated invoices.
    • To ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions, or in accordance with best practice.
    • To ensure we are complying with HMRC regulations regarding reclaiming VAT.
    • Responsible for the monthly closure of the Purchase Ledger including payment and credit control, management reports, aged creditors.
    • Review supplier statements to supplier purchase ledger accounts
    • Reconcile the purchase ledger control account, review debit balances and resolve. Inform Finance Analyst of unregistered invoices for accrual purposes.
    • Ensure accuracy of the purchase ledger and request supplier documentation when necessary
    • Review outstanding purchase orders and resolve any issues.
    • Liaise with budget holders to ensure that orders are closed when necessary and receipt dates are accurate for accrual purposes.
    • To maintain the Invoice/Purchase Order signatory list and issue periodic updates to budget-holders.
    • Manage the archiving of supplier's documentation
    • Scan all purchase ledger documentation daily

    Desired Candidate Experience:

    • Graduates or candidates who are currently working towards AAT qualifications with no purchase ledger experience are encouraged to apply!
